Former Premier League striker Ricardo Fuller has re-signed for non-league side Nantwich Town.
The 40-year-old has penned a new deal with the Northern Premier League side, as announced by their official club website.
Fuller, who made 76 caps for Jamaica, came out of retirement to join the Cheshire side in January and has now returned to the Weaver Stadium to bolster their attacking options.
Nantwich boss Dave Cooke has told their website: “Ric’s been training for a month now and is looking sharp, it’s great to have him back. He’s great around the players and with his experience it’s a great fit.”
The 6ft 3inc forward began his career in Jamaica but moved over to England in 2001 with early spells at Hearts and Crystal Palace.
Fuller joined Preston North End in 2002 and spent two years with the Lilywhites, scoring 31 goals in 63 games to earn himself a move to the Premier League with Portsmouth.
He struggled for goals at Fratton Park and had spells at Southampton and Ipswich before moving to Stoke City in 2006.
Fuller soon became a hit with the Potters and stayed with them for six years, helping them gain promotion to the top flight in 2008. He made 208 appearances for the Sttafordshire side, bagging 50 times.
He went on to have later stints at Charlton Athletic, Blackpool, Millwall and Oldham Athletic prior to initially announcing his retirement in 2016. However, fast forward three years and Fuller is still playing in the seventh tier for Nantwich.
