Colby Bishop scored twice as League One leaders Portsmouth moved closer to promotion to the Championship with a stylish 3-1 victory at Wycombe.

Pompey are now 11 points clear of third-placed Bolton after extending their unbeaten run to 13 games and need a maximum of three more victories from their final six games to seal a return to the second tier after 12 years away.

Portsmouth led after just three minutes when Bishop's shot from Abu Kamara's cut-back took a big deflection off Ryan Tafazolli and looped beyond Wycombe goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli.

The home side were quick to respond and drew level in the seventh minute when Richard Kone laid the ball into the path of Matt Butcher, who fired past Will Norris.

But Pompey were back in front after 28 minutes as Bishop steered another low ball across by the lively Kamara first-time into the bottom corner.

The result was effectively in the bag for the visitors midway through the second half when Kamara's chipped cross fell for Christian Saydee and, although Ravizzoli got gloves to his effort, he could not keep it out.

Fair result unfortunately, we started well enough but fell away.
Never mind off to Wembley.
Good luck to Pompey in the championship had a good laugh in the pub with some of their lads pre match.

Excellent performance against decent opposition.
Kamara shone and it was good to see Bishop score twice and to see Ogilvie back. Raggett solid as ever.
Things are looking good under Mousinho and the result was a fair reward for Eric Eisner's visit.
We're going up!!!
Shame about the Stains dropping 2 more points as they slide to mid table.

Well done Pompey. Spent the best years of my life in the late 80,s in Waterlooville and Portsmouth Northend. Great Football Club and good loyal fans. Glad this club is flourishing again. Unfortunate to say for the Blades you will be visiting Bramall Lane next season but will be good to hear the Pompey Chimes in the stadium.

First relief ! followed by belief , Easter is always the big decider for so many football clubs and Pompey really do look like winners . A great result and good to see Bishop back on the score sheet . Wycombe is always a hard place to visit . A big game on Tuesday , looking forward to a great night .

Could see us drawing this one, so very happy with the three points. It will take a momentous crash for us not to go up now. Derby still hot on our tails and Tuesday will be very telling when they come to Fratton Park. Should be a really good atmosphere. PUP

The difference between League 1 and the Championship is much less than that between the Championship and League 1. Witness the recent successes of the likes of Luton, Coventry and Ipswich, amongst others.
